Ayana & Fortum Secure 300MW Each in SECI’s 1200 MW Auction

(EPT) : Ayana Renewable Power & Fortum Energy have been declared winners in the auctions for 1,200 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected Solar power projects by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) (ISTS-X) of Karnataka.

Out of 1200 MW capacity ,600 MW capacity awarded to lowest winners & balance 600 MW capacity reverse auction shall be held on 4th Feb 2022.

Ayana secured 300 MW capacity quoting a tariff of INR 2.36/KWh and Fortum also secured 300 MW capacity quoting a tariff of INR 2.37/KWh.

This tender scope of work includes Identification of land, installation and ownership of the Project, along with obtaining connectivity, LTA and necessary approvals and interconnection with the ISTS network
for supply of power to SECI, will be under the scope of the SPD (Solar Power Developer).

The maximum capacity of 600 MW each will be awarded for injection at ISTS substations in Gadag and Koppal districts; it was already mentioned in RfS documents.

This tender was floated in July 2021 by SECI .

The Scheduled Commissioning Date (SCD) for commissioning of the full capacity of the Project shall be 18 months from the Effective Date of the PPA and PPA shall be signed for 25 years.
