Jakson, L&T and Amara Raja Emerge Winners in NTPC Solar Project Auction
(EPT) : Jakson, L&T and Amara Raja emerged L1 bidders in NTPC’s auction for 735 MW ( 3*245 MW) balance of system (BoS) package for NTPC Nokh solar project.
Tariff quoted by bidders for each 245 MW AC block are ;
- Jakson Quoted a tariff of INR 17.86 million/MW for third 245 AC (MW)/294 DC (MWp) block.
- Amara Raja quoted a tariff of INR 17.14 million/MW for second 245 MW/306.25 DC (MWp) block.
- Larsen & Toubro quoted a tariff of INR 16.25 million/MW for first 245 MW/306.25 DC (MWp) block.
This 735 MW tender was issued in March 2020 & bid submission due date was extended till August 2020 & after that tender was cancelled and fresh tender was issued by NTPC in November 2021 with changes in PQR and in the most recent tender, the bidders’ average yearly turnover criteria were increased.
In the revised tender document, for the first block, the average annual turnover of bidders was increased to INR 900 million, while for the second block, it was increased to INR 1.8 billion.
Earlier, the minimum financial criteria for the first and second block was INR 670 million and INR 1.34 billion, respectively, along with bid security being INR 50 million. Later, bidders were permitted to give a declaration in lieu of bid security.
The scope of work include the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar projects, excluding solar photovoltaic (PV) modules supply. PV module shall be supplied as owner issued material by NTPC REL.
Scope also include the design and construct module mounting structures (MMS) and install the modules interconnecting the systems. They must also provide module cleaning systems, including all accessories. They must also provide a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for remote monitoring and control with all hardware and software.
Last year Rising Sun Energy was winner for 190 MW Nokh Solar project in NTPC’s auction.
Last week NTPC issued BOS package with land for 300 MW of solar projects.
