L&T Wins Package C5 For Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project
(EPT) : Larsen & Toubro today emerged as the lowest bidder for design & construction of the 8.198 km package C-5 508.17 km Mumbai – Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR Bullet Train Project) followed by National National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) opened the financial bids.
Package C5 connects chainages KM 393.700 and KM 401.898 of the main line within Vadodara city and is the second shortest package among the 5 packages within the state of Gujarat. In mid-2022, it will become the fifth and last section in Gujarat to enter the construction phase.
NHSRCL was invited bid With a completion period/time limit of 1490 days (4 years) and unknown estimate for its construction in June 2021. Technical bid opened To reveal 3 bidders in October 2021.
In financial bid opening L&T secures L1 bidder beating 2 other bidders. Financial bid result is as under:
