NHSRCL Signs Agreement for Design and Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR Corridor

(EPT) : National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited inked an agreement moment, with M/ s IRCON – DINESHCHANDRA R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt.Ltd. JV for design and construction of about 18 km of viaduct between Anand and Sabarmati including two HSR stations Ahmedabad and Sabarmati for Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor (MAHSR-C7 Package).

Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail will cut through Western Railway’s Ahmedabad Junction Railway Station and shall be integrated with Saraspur side of the being Ahmedabad station. Ahmedabad HSR station will be erected over the being road platform no. 11 & 12.


To insure flawless integration of the Ahmedabad HSR station with other modes of rail transport, NHSRCL has designed a stoner-friendly station layout for Ahmedabad.

An integrated Structure for passenger conveyance is planned on east side of the being road station, where Passengers will be suitable to fleetly switch from one mode to another. This structure will be equipped with escalators and elevators and will house numerous passenger convenience installations like Reserving office, Passenger lobby, tea/ coffee alcoves and other amenities etc.

The Sabarmati HSR station will also give flawless connectivity to the passengers as it’ll be connected to the forthcoming Sabarmati Passenger Mecca.

Both the HSR stations will be environment friendly with provisions of water conservation and natural light arrangements inside the station.

In October 2021 M/ s IRCON – DINESHCHANDRA R.Agrrwal Infracon Pvt.Ltd. JV was emerged as the lowest bidder for package C-7.
